A Warm Welcome from the Host President

After the successfull 2nd EuroGites conference it is now a great honour for Hungary to invite you to Eger, the home of the world famous Eger Bull Blood Wine, for the celebration of the 3rd European Congress on Rural Tourism. We hereby offer both our old and our new friends the opportunity to renew their professional connections and also to discuss the future of Rural Tourism.

At the end of the congress, we shall issue and sign an Official Statement on the Challenges and Strategies for Rural Tourism in Europe, which will provide basic guidance to our sector for the future.

This is the most important task and expectation from this 3rd European Congress on Rural Tourism, and it will be all of us - you, my friends, our guests, and our local team who will undertake this task.

The date of the Congress organised in Hungary is 26-28 September, 2007.

As a president of the Assotiation of Hungarian Rural and Agrotourism, I would like to invite you to this important event. I am convinced that this Congress, jointly organised by the Hungarian Federation of Rural Tourism and EuroGîtes, will provide an attractive and inspiring venue for such a high-quality scientific programme. When this is combined with the genuine Hungarian and village providers hospitality offered throughout the conference and the post-congress study tours, then all the delegates can be assured of an enjoyable and rewarding experience.
